Ideal sofa?
Without a doubt we are going to spend a lot of time on the sofa and many of you ask us what the ideal sofa should be like, and we have thought of giving you some keys so that you know which is the best option, although the most important thing is the position we adopt, you are welcome. An ergonomic sofa is useful if we sit on one leg or let ourselves fall without supporting the lumbar area, postural hygiene is the most important thing.
1. The height of the backrest: It must measure from the floor to the highest part between 85 and 95 cm, in this way we will maintain a correct posture of the spine, allowing us to support the head well so that the neck can rest.
2. The height of the seat: Our hips should always be in line with our knees, never below, many problems in the hip and lumbar area come from the seat being lower or the cushion having sunk.
3. The depth of the seat: It must be at least 90 cm, the legs must be able to be placed at a 90º angle when sitting. For the lumbar area you should have a cushion so that this area is well supported and protected.
4. Armrests: The sofa should always offer armrests at elbow height. Ideally, they should measure between 12-20 cm and be soft, as they will often become improvised pillows.
