Clínicas Retiro was founded on Jesús Aprendiz Street in Madrid, in March 2000 as a center specialized in physiotherapy. In 2004 we increased our healthcare offering by incorporating new medical specialties.

Differences between PCR, Serology and Antigen Test

How do the tests work?
Depending on the test we choose to perform, one procedure or another will be carried out. Thus, for PCR, a nasal sample is collected; For the antigen test, the sample can be nasal or saliva; and, in the case of the serological test, a blood sample is taken from the patient.
Likewise, depending on the test, it will take different times to know the results: 15-20 minutes for the antigen test; 24-48 hours for PCR; and about 15 minutes for the serological test.
